Founders Story
Melissa Bergier
Family Traditions Emissary
In Melissa's home long long ago, the holiday season was the hub of the annual candy making extravaganza (Melissa, her dad, a wooden spoon and a cast iron pot). It was Melissa’s father who inspired her interest in the process. Fascinated that Papa created candy at home, at an early age, Melissa stood on a chair observing the process as he experimented with various candies each year. It wasn’t long before she was old enough to participate in the tradition which she has carried on for nearly 35 years.
The name “Liselle” is a combination of Melissa and Papa, Ellsworth. The words “Vintage Caramels” invokes a simpler era when we had the time to express love and affection for others by creating with our own hands and hearts.Melissa has chosen the title “Family Traditions Emissary” as a means of honoring the family history and her love of sharing those handcrafted traditions with family and friends.
Though holidays have always been a special time for heart felt giving, Melissa is thrilled to share the simple contentment and joy of this product throughout the year with those who treasure and delight in life’s simple joys.
We genuinely hope that you enjoy the caramels' premium quality and they bring a smile to your lips. But most importantly, we welcome you to the family tradition.
At Liselle Vintage Caramels, we believe that above all else, our business should be based on:
- Committment to quality and service
- Joy in the production of the candy
- Pride in the finished product
- Sending warmth and love to every heart
